A Bit About Rachel
Rachel is a well-respected vocal coach who has been working with clients online internationally, since she began teaching in early 2016. With a wide-range of experience from working with pop and rock singers to working extensively with Musical Theatre performers auditioning (and with a brilliant track record of getting accepted) for leading theatre schools within the UK.
As a vocal coach, it is important to stay highly educated and up to date with the latest science and research. Rachel is a fully certified Advanced Modern Vocal Training vocal coach and accredited Vocal Health First Aider. She continues to work with both of these organisations to ensure she is always teaching to the very top standard.

Rachel began an ADHD Awareness Diploma course. Some modules included: The Law and ADHD, Inclusion, ADHD and Education, ADHD Classroom Strategies and Reasonable Adjustments etc.
Rachel certified as a Level 3 Advanced Modern Vocal Training teacher!
During this course, Rachel has had the brilliant opportunity to work personally and 1:1 with worldwide voice experts on a wide variety of different topics. Topics included SOVT with Marco Guzmán, Vocal Effects with Ariel Coelho, Artistry with Wendy Parr, Musical Theatre with Camiah Mingorance, Vocal Acoustics with Kaya Herstad-Carney, Pedagogy and Effective Practice with Zofia Prucnal, Spoken Voice with Andrés Martorell, Primal Sounds and Technique within Specific Genre’s with Rachel Black, Vocal Health with Stephen King, Vowel Modification with Ian Davidson and Coaching Performance with Magda Navarette.
Rachel presented her Menstruation & The Voice research at the World Voice Teacher's Expo to hundreds of teachers from all around the world!
The 'Menstruation & The Voice' leaflet was published! (Now available in 6 languages - German, English, Polish, Portuguese, Thai and Spanish!)
Started researching the impacts menstruation has on the voice as part of the Level 3 Modern Vocal Training course.
Rachel attended the In-Person teacher training event with Kerrie Obert and The Voice Study Centre.
As part of her Level 3 Modern Vocal Training course, Rachel travelled to Malaga and completed a manual therapy course with Vocal Massage Training with Stephen King and Robert Price.
Rachel had the fantastic opportunity to volunteer at the Performer's Voice Clinic (one of only seven in the UK) at the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle. Where she got to observe laryngoscopy on patients in the Speech Therapy department.
Attended European Vocal Camp in Czech Republic.
Rachel certified as a Level 2 Modern Vocal Training teacher!
The World Voice Teacher's Expo took place! This is an online vocal coach conference where Rachel got to learn from and observe voice lessons with world-wide voice teachers (some include, John Henny, Wendy Parr, Chris Johnson and Greg Enriquez).
Rachel certified as a Level 1 Modern Vocal Training teacher!
Rachel enrolled into teacher training with Modern Vocal Training! As part of her studying with MVT, Rachel gets tested regularly on her own voice and her teaching, so she is always continuing to learn and be better. Rachel has had the brilliant opportunity to work personally and 1:1 with worldwide voice experts on a wide variety of different topics!
Rachel started her own business!
Judged at Soundwaves Music Competition at O2 Academy, Newcastle.
Rachel enrolled in a leading vocal training course. The course focused on the health and science behind the voice. During training Rachel had singing lessons with Master Teachers, Guy Babusek based in California and Stephanie Born-Kruegar all the way from Germany.
Rachel first started teaching!
Rachel released her first EP.
Studied in Music Performance and she has also completed Rockschool Grades in Vocals and Guitar. Rachel has had a wide range of experience in song-writing and recording and she continues to record, write vocals and feature on tracks of a wide-range of genres.
Rachel has been given some fantastic opportunities herself. From small local performances, to being played on BBC Introducing multiple times, gaining over 75K views on one of her SoundCloud covers alone to even being asked to perform at the Olympic Torch Ceremony and the Pride of Northumberland Awards. Rachel has performed in many charity events and talent competitions performing alongside 'X-Factor' and 'Britain's Got Talent ' finalists.
Started taking professional singing lessons. First of all studying the Speech Level Singing method then later, moving on to studying the IVA technique with her vocal coach. It was during these lessons that Rachel aspired to become a vocal coach and became very passionate about the voice and how the voice works.
