What to expect
Voice lessons with Rachel are designed to be fully client-centered, meaning her goals will align with yours throughout the process.
We will be delving into some vocal exercises, such as scales and warm-ups, which will be specifically tailored to you and your voice. Rachel believes it's super important to know the "why" behind the exercises, so you can effectively implement this knowledge during your practice.
We’ll also be focusing on applying what we have learnt on scales, to songs. Please try to think of a song you either already sing or struggle to sing, in advance of our class.
We can also send you an audio recording of your lesson!
This makes practice even easier. Use these recordings to track and monitor your progress.
Neurodiversity-affirming means accepting, appreciating and valuing differences in how people think, learn, and process information.
In a neurodiversity-affirming approach, the teacher:
-
Respects how each person learns and/or communicates.
-
Adapts teaching methods to suit individual needs, whether that's offering extra time, using clear and simple instructions, or creating a more flexible learning environment.
-
Focuses on strengths and helps clients feel confident in their abilities, rather than pushing them to conform to traditional learning styles.
-
Creates a safe space where clients feel comfortable expressing themselves through their voice without judgment.
